Staff Physical Therapist

My name is Lillie Nelson; I am born and raised in St. Mary County. I grew up as an athlete playing travel softball.

Education

While in high school, I obtained my CCMA. I then attended CSM receiving my associates in Exercises science, and afterwards Graduated with my Associates in Physical therapy assisting. While in the PTA program, I obtained my CPT (Certified Personal trainer) from NASM ( National Academy of Sports Medicine).

Experience

While in school, I had clinicals in spinal cord, neuro and outpatient orthopaedics seeing a variety of conditions. I have been a patient from the years of 2021-2024 as I have had two ACL tears. In June of 2024, I started working for CAO as a tech, learning the exercises and gaining the knowledge of how to communicate and relate to patients.

Philosophy

I truly like to get my patient back to the things that they enjoy and restoring function. I like to get to know my patients on a personal level as I help them through this hard time and experience. I want my patient to understand that I know how they are feeling.

Personal life

Playing slow-pitch softball and cooking are the two main things that I do, but I do enjoy sports photography or just regular photography. I also enjoy driving to North Carolina to visit my boyfriend.
